Joe McLaughlin
Principal Engineer & Founder
My career began with an apprenticeship at an insurance-approved car body repair specialist in the Glasgow area, where I developed a strong technical foundation and gained extensive hands-on industry experience. As my expertise grew, I became increasingly focused on the estimating and assessment side of the repair process, working closely with insurance companies and mastering industry-leading estimating systems including Audatex, Glassmatix, and GT Motive. This progression led me to a role with Zurich Insurance as an In-House Engineer, where I worked alongside experienced claims handlers and engineering teams to deliver accurate, efficient, and professional vehicle assessments. In 2021, I became an Independent Assessor, providing fast, professional, impartial, and customer-focused services to insurance companies, accident management companies, solicitors, and private clients. Every inspection I deliver is backed by extensive industry experience, full qualifications, and comprehensive insurance, ensuring trusted expertise at every stage.
